مهدي عباس ناقد ومؤرخ سينمائي عراقي حاصل على بكالوريوس أدب انكليزي، يكتب في مجال السينما منذ أكثر من ثلاثة عقود. أشرف على صفحات السينما في أكثر من مجلة وصحيفة، وقد أصدر لحد اليوم 30 مؤلفا حول السينما، كما أصدر أول جريدة سينمائية في العراق ( سينما سينما ). اختير رئيس لجنة تحكيم وعضو لجنة تحكيم في عدة مهرجانات سينمائية. وهو يصدر حاليا صفحة سينمائية أسبوعية في جريدة الدستور. ومستشار شركة السينما العراقية التي تملك دور العرض السينمائية في بغداد.
Mehdi Abbas is an Iraqi film critic and historian with a BA in English literature. He has been writing in the field of cinema for more than three decades. He supervised the cinema sections in different magazines and newspapers. To date, he has published 30 books on cinema. He also published the first cinematic newspaper in Iraq (Cinema Cinema). He was chosen as the head of a jury and a member of the jury in several film festivals. He is currently publishing a weekly cinematic page in Al-Dustour newspaper. Abbas is a consultant for the Iraqi Cinema Company, which owns cinemas in Baghdad.
Mehdi Abbas est un critique de cinéma et historien Irakien titulaire d’une licence en littérature anglaise. Il écrit dans le domaine du cinéma depuis plus de trois décennies. Il a supervisé les rubriques cinéma de différents magazines et journaux. À ce jour, il a publié 30 ouvrages sur le cinéma. Il a également publié le premier journal cinématographique en Irak (Cinema Cinema). Il a été choisi comme président du jury et membre du jury dans plusieurs festivals de cinéma. Il publie actuellement une page cinématographique hebdomadaire sur le journal Al-Dustour. Abbas est consultant pour l’Iraqi Cinema Company, qui possède des cinémas à Bagdad.
