Rashid Al Yafi’i est une figure emblématique de l’audiovisuel en Oman, fort d’une expérience de plus de trois décennies. Titulaire d’un doctorat en communication de l’Université de Manouba en Tunisie, il a occupé le poste de directeur de la réalisation à la télévision omanaise.Sa carrière est jalonnée de succès. Il a réalisé de nombreux documentaires qui ont remporté un grand succès et de prestigieuses récompenses au niveau national et arabe. Parmi ses œuvres les plus remarquables, on peut citer les documentaires «Chasseurs d’or», «Sur les traces de Thesiger» et «Le cuivre, trésor d’Oman. Ses activités dépassent largement le cadre de la réalisation. Il est membre actif de nombreuses institutions cinématographiques, comme le conseil d’administration de la Société omanaise du cinéma et la commission des libertés de l’Association des journalistes omanais. Il est également directeur du Festival international du film de Dhofar et a participé à de nombreux festivals internationaux en tant que membre de jury. Ses recherches se concentrent sur le documentaire. Il a animé de nombreux ateliers de formation à l’intention des étudiants en communication et des passionnés de cinéma».. He is also the director of the Dhofar International Film Festival and has participated in numerous international festivals as a jury member. His research focuses on documentaries. He has conducted numerous training workshops for communication students and film enthusiasts. Al Yafi’i has received numerous awards for his work, including the gold award at the Tunisian Radio and Television Festival for the film “Copper, Oman’s Treasure” and the silver award at the Cairo Festival for Arab Media for the film “Land of Incense.”
رشيد اليافعي، شخصية بارزة في مجال الإعلام والسينما في سلطنة عمان، يتمتع بخبرة واسعة تمتد لأكثر من ثلاثة عقود. يحمل الدكتوراه في الإعلام والاتصال من جامعة منوبة في تونس، وشغل منصب كبير المخرجين في تلفزيون سلطنة عمان. مسيرته المهنية حافلة بالإنجازات، حيث أسهم في إخراج العديد من البرامج والأفلام الوثائقية التي حققت نجاحاً كبيراً وحصدت جوائز مرموقة على المستويين المحلي والعربي. من أبرز أعماله الفيلم الوثائقي «صائدو الذهب»، و»على خطى ثيسيجر»، و»الصفيلح كنز عمان». نشاطه الأكاديمي والفني يتجاوز حدود الإخراج، فهو عضو فعال في العديد من المؤسسات والفعاليات السينمائية، مثل مجلس إدارة الجمعية العمانية للسينما، ولجنة الحريات بجمعية الصحفيين العمانية، ومدير مهرجان ظفار السينمائي الدولي. كما شارك في العديد من المهرجانات الدولية وحكم في لجان تحكيم عدة مسابقات سينمائية. اهتماماته البحثية تتركز في مجال الأفلام الوثائقية، حيث قدم العديد من الورش التدريبية في هذا المجال لطلبة الإعلام والمهتمين بصناعة الأفلام.حصل اليافعي على العديد من الجوائز والتقديرات على أعماله، من أبرزها الجائزة الذهبية في مهرجان الإذاعة والتلفزيون بالجمهورية التونسية عن فيلم «الصفيلح كنز عمان»، والجائزة الفضية في مهرجان القاهرة للإعلام العربي عن فيلم «أرض اللبان».
