Synopsis
Souraya Mon Amour nous plonge dans l’univers intime de Souraya Baghdadi, un monde marqué par la danse, le cinéma, la méditation, les souvenirs et une profonde réflexion. Cet univers reste imprégné de la présence de son défunt mari, Maroun Baghdadi, célèbre réalisateur libanais.
Leur histoire commence en 1981, pendant le tournage de Little Wars à Beyrouth, alors ravagée par la guerre, où Souraya interprétait le rôle principal. Après la présentation du film à Cannes, ils s’installent à Paris et commencent une vie commune. Mais en décembre 1993, Maroun meurt soudainement et mystérieusement, alors que Souraya attend leur troisième enfant.
Aujourd’hui, trois décennies plus tard, Souraya revisite les fragments d’une vie autrefois suspendue. À travers des conversations à distance, des archives intimes et des moments d’introspection, une histoire d’amour se dévoile, révélant la fragile tension d’un lien façonné par la présence et, plus profondément encore, par l’absence.

Souraya Mon Amour invites us into the private world of Souraya Baghdadi, a world filled with dance, film, meditation, memories, and deep reflection. It’s a world still touched by the presence of her late husband, Maroun Baghdadi, a legendary Lebanese filmmaker.
Their story began in 1981 during the filming of Little Wars in war-torn Beirut, where Souraya played the lead role. After the movie premiered at Cannes, they moved to Paris and started a life together. But in December 1993, Maroun died suddenly and mysteriously, just as Souraya was expecting their third child.
Today, three decades later, Souraya revisits the fragments of a life once suspended. Through distant conversations, tender archives, and moments of introspection, a love story unfolds, unveiling the fragile tension of a bond shaped by presence—and even more profoundly, by absence.

يدعونا فيلم «سورايا حبيبتي» إلى الدخول إلى العالم الخاص لسورايا بغدادي، عالم مليء بالرقص والسينما والتأمل والذكريات والتفكير العميق. ولا يزال هذا العالم متأثرًا بحضور زوجها الراحل، المخرج اللبناني الشهير مارون بغدادي.
بدأت قصتهما سنة 1981 أثناء تصوير فيلم «حروب صغيرة» (Little Wars) في بيروت التي كانت تعيش أجواء الحرب، حيث أدّت سورايا الدور الرئيسي. بعد عرض الفيلم في مهرجان كان السينمائي، انتقلا إلى باريس وبدآ حياتهما معًا. لكن في ديسمبر 1993، توفي مارون بشكل مفاجئ وغامض، في الوقت الذي كانت فيه سورايا تنتظر طفلهما الثالث.
بعد ثلاثة عقود، تعود سورايا اليوم إلى شظايا حياة توقفت ذات يوم. ومن خلال محادثات عن بُعد، وأرشيفات حميمة، ولحظات من التأمل، تتكشف قصة حب، وتظهر هشاشة علاقة تشكلت بالحضور، وبشكل أعمق، بالغياب.
