Synopsis :
Dans un futur proche, un astrolabe mystique doté du pouvoir de détruire le monde est volé dans la cité perdue d’Atlantis, dans les montagnes de l’Atlas. Un homme découvre qu’il est l’un des derniers descendants des Atlantes et doit empêcher le cataclysme imminent. Entre batailles aériennes spectaculaires et secrets personnels, il doit maîtriser le vent pour devenir le héros dont le monde a besoin.

Biographie du réalisateur :
Anouar Moatassim est réalisateur, scénariste et producteur belge d’origine marocaine. Nous l’accueillons au BIFFF pour la présentation d’Atoman, premier film de super-héros marocain, dont il est le réalisateur. Selon lui, « il était temps » que l’Afrique et le Maghreb aient un film de ce genre. Atoman, qui signifie « homme du vent », est inspiré par le patrimoine marocain. On connaît également Anouar Moatassim pour la mini-série télévisée #CODE (2016) et la série QSAR EL BACHA (2019).

Synopsis:
In the near future, a mystical astrolabe with the power to destroy the world is stolen from the lost city of Atlantis in the Atlas Mountains. A man discovers he is one of the last descendants of the Atlanteans and must prevent the impending cataclysm. Between spectacular aerial battles and personal secrets, he must master the wind to become the hero the world needs.

Director Biography:
Anouar Moatassim is a Belgian-Moroccan director, screenwriter, and producer. He is attending BIFFF to present Atoman, the first Moroccan superhero film, which he directed. According to him, “it was time” for Africa and the Maghreb to have a film of this kind. Atoman, meaning “man of the wind,” is inspired by Moroccan heritage. He is also known for the TV miniseries #CODE (2016) and the series QSAR EL BACHA (2019).
