Serving as a bridge between the “present” and “history” of cinema, Ken Takachi is the founder and former Programming Director of the Kyoto Historica International Film Festival. With nearly two decades dedicated to tracking the global evolution of historical cinema, Ken Takachi possesses a keen eye for how the past resonates in contemporary narratives.
As a board member of CINETOUR, Ken Takachi actively fosters international cultural exchange and industry network development. His international presence includes serving as a juror at the 2023 NNW International Film Festival in Poland and participating as a featured speaker at the 2024 “EXPLORE JAPAN” event at JAPAN HOUSE Los Angeles.
Deeply interested in the synthesis of historical context and modern perspectives in documentary filmmaking, Ken Takachi approaches the jury process with a dual focus: the “eye” that captures raw truth and the “structure” that elevates it into a compelling narrative.

Faisant le lien entre le « présent » et l’« histoire » du cinéma, Ken Takachi est le fondateur et ancien directeur de la programmation du Kyoto Historica International Film Festival. Depuis près de vingt ans, il suit l’évolution du cinéma historique à travers le monde, développant un regard attentif sur la manière dont le passé continue de résonner dans les récits contemporains.
En tant que membre du conseil d’administration de CINETOUR, Ken Takachi contribue activement aux échanges culturels internationaux et au développement des réseaux professionnels de l’industrie cinématographique. Son parcours international comprend notamment sa participation en tant que membre du jury au NNW International Film Festival 2023 en Pologne, ainsi que son intervention en tant qu’invité lors de l’événement « EXPLORE JAPAN », organisé en 2024 à JAPAN HOUSE Los Angeles.
Profondément intéressé par la rencontre entre le contexte historique et les perspectives contemporaines dans le cinéma documentaire, Ken Takachi aborde son rôle de juré avec une double approche : d’une part, le « regard » capable de saisir la réalité dans sa forme la plus authentique et, d’autre part, la « structure » qui permet de transformer cette matière en un récit cohérent, captivant et significatif.

يشكل كين تاكاشي جسراً بين «حاضر» السينما و«تاريخها»، وهو مؤسس ومدير البرمجة السابق لـ مهرجان كيوتو هيستوريكا الدولي للسينما (Kyoto Historica International Film Festival). وعلى مدى ما يقارب عقدين من الزمن، تابع تطور السينما التاريخية حول العالم، وطوّر رؤية دقيقة للطريقة التي يستمر بها الماضي في الحضور والتفاعل مع السرديات السينمائية المعاصرة.
وبصفته عضواً في مجلس إدارة CINETOUR، يساهم كين تاكاشي بشكل فعّال في تعزيز التبادل الثقافي الدولي وتطوير شبكات التعاون والعلاقات المهنية في قطاع السينما. ويشمل حضوره الدولي مشاركته كعضو في لجنة تحكيم مهرجان NNW الدولي للسينما سنة 2023 في بولندا، بالإضافة إلى مشاركته كضيف ومتحدث في فعالية «EXPLORE JAPAN» التي أقيمت سنة 2024 في JAPAN HOUSE Los Angeles.
وانطلاقاً من اهتمامه العميق بالتقاطع بين السياق التاريخي والرؤى المعاصرة في صناعة الأفلام الوثائقية، يعتمد كين تاكاشي في عمله كعضو في لجان التحكيم على مقاربة مزدوجة: «العين» القادرة على التقاط الحقيقة في شكلها الخام والصادق، و«البنية» التي تمنح هذه المادة شكلاً سردياً متماسكاً ومؤثراً وجذاباً.
