BIOGRAPHY :
An Egyptian film critic, board member of the Egyptian Film Critics Association (EFCA), and a member of the Cinematic Professions Syndicate. She currently holds the position of Managing Editor at El Film Magazine.
Omnia Adel is actively involved in Egyptian film festivals. She is a Programmer at the Aswan International Women’s Film Festival and participates in the film viewing and selection committees for festivals such as the Cairo International Film Festival, the Ismailia International Film Festival for Documentary and Short Films, and the Alexandria Mediterranean Film Festival. She also serves as the editor for the catalogs of these festivals.
Additionally, Omnia contributes critical articles to several other magazines and websites, including FilmBuff, Rassif 22, Chroum, El-Manassa, Sollywood, Cinamaa, and Schehrezade.
She also represented FIPRESCI as a jury member at the 8th edition of the El Gouna Film Festival (2025) and the 29th edition of the Flying Broom Women’s Film Festival (2026).
Omnia Adel has published her first book on Egyptian documentary films from 1940 to 1980, called “The Hidden Path of Filmmakers” (مسيرة صناع السينما الخفية) and is currently working on her second book, a study of the commercial Egyptian film period titled ‘El-Moqawalat’. She has also contributed to several cinematic books, such as “Women in Cinema,” published by the Aswan Film Festival in 2024 and “Hamina the Majestic” by Annaba Film Festival.
Beyond her critical work, Omnia is also active in the film industry, developing her own short film. This project has been part of several script development workshops, working with notable figures like Ahmed Abdalla El-Sayed, Ayman El Amir and Karim El Daliel.

Critique de cinéma égyptienne, Omnia Adel est membre du conseil d’administration de l’Association égyptienne des critiques de cinéma (EFCA) et membre du Syndicat des professions cinématographiques. Elle est actuellement rédactrice en chef adjointe d’El Film Magazine.
Très active dans les festivals égyptiens, elle est programmatrice du Festival international du film de femmes d’Assouan et participe aux comités de visionnage et de sélection du Festival international du film du Caire, du Festival international d’Ismaïlia du documentaire et du court métrage et du Festival du film méditerranéen d’Alexandrie, dont elle édite également les catalogues.
Elle signe des articles critiques pour plusieurs magazines et sites, dont FilmBuff, Rassif 22, Chroum, El-Manassa, Sollywood, Cinamaa et Schehrezade.
Elle a représenté la FIPRESCI comme membre du jury de la 8e édition du Festival du film d’El Gouna (2025) et de la 29e édition du Flying Broom Women’s Film Festival (2026).
Elle a publié un premier livre consacré au documentaire égyptien de 1940 à 1980, « Le chemin caché des cinéastes » (مسيرة صناع السينما الخفية), et prépare un second ouvrage sur la période du cinéma commercial égyptien, intitulé « El-Moqawalat ». Elle a également contribué à plusieurs ouvrages collectifs, dont « Les femmes au cinéma », publié par le Festival d’Assouan en 2024, et « Hamina le majestueux », publié par le Festival du film d’Annaba.
Au-delà de la critique, elle développe son propre court métrage, accompagné dans plusieurs ateliers d’écriture aux côtés de personnalités comme Ahmed Abdalla El-Sayed, Ayman El Amir et Karim El Daliel.

السيرة الذاتية :
ناقدة سينمائية مصرية، عضو مجلس إدارة جمعية نقاد السينما المصريين (EFCA)، وعضو في نقابة المهن السينمائية. تعمل حاليًا مدير تحرير لمجلة «الفيلم» الصادرة عن جيزويت القاهرة.
تشارك أمنية عادل في مهرجانات سينمائية مصرية فهي مُبرمجة في مهرجان أسوان الدولي لأفلام المرأة، إلى جانب مشاركتها في لجان المشاهدة واختيار الأفلام لمهرجانات بارزة مثل مهرجان القاهرة السينمائي الدولي، ومهرجان الإسماعيلية الدولي للأفلام التسجيلية والقصيرة، ومهرجان الإسكندرية السينمائي لدول البحر المتوسط. كما تتولى تحرير كتالوجات هذه المهرجانات.
بالإضافة إلى ذلك، تساهم أمنية بمقالات نقدية في العديد من المجلات والمواقع الإلكترونية، بما في ذلك FilmBuff، ورصيف 22، وكروم، والمنصة، وسوليوود، سينماء، وشهرزاد.
شاركت كعضو لجنة تحكيم النقاد (الفيبريسي) بمهرجان الجونة في الدورة الثامنة عام 2025 وكذلك عضو لجنة تحكيم جمعية نقاد السينما المصريين بمهرجان الإسكندرية للفيلم القصير عام 2020، وكذلك مهرجان «المكنسة الطائرة» لأفلام المرأة السينمائي الدولي بأنقرة 2026.
أنجزت أمنية عادل كتابها الأول بعنوان «مسيرة صنّاع السينما الخفية» عن الأفلام التسجيلية المصرية في الفترة ما بين 1940 و 1980، وتعمل حاليًا على كتابها الثاني، وهو دراسة عن «أفلام المقاولات». كما ساهمت بمقالات في العديد من الكتب السينمائية، مثل كتاب «صورة المرأة في السينما» الذي نشره مهرجان أسوان السينمائي في عام 2025 وكانت محرر مشارك بالكتاب، وكذلك محرر كتاب «عدسة ومرآة: صورة المرأة في السينما العربية» الذي نشره مهرجان أسوان لأفلام المرأة السينمائي الدولي لعام 2026.
بجانب عملها النقدي، تنشط أمنية أيضًا في صناعة السينما، حيث تعمل على تطوير فيلمها القصير. وقد مر هذا المشروع بالعديد من ورش تطوير مشاريع الأفلام، وعملت فيه مع شخصيات بارزة مثل أحمد عبد الله السيد، وأيمن الأمير، وكريم الدليل.
