هشام العسري هو مخرج، كاتب سيناريو، كاتب روائي، رسام كاريكاتير، ومؤلف مغربي. وُلد في الدار البيضاء في 13 أبريل 1977. بعد دراسته للقانون، قرر تغيير مساره المهني وبدأ مسيرته الفنية ككاتب مسرحي. حصل على جائزة محمد رجب للسيناريو في عام 2002، وأخرج أول فيلم قصير له بعنوان « هندسة الندم » (Géométrie des remords) من إنتاج نبيل عيوش.
في عام 2011، أخرج فيلمه الروائي الأول « النهاية » (The End)، الذي نال إعجاب النقاد وشارك في العديد من المهرجانات السينمائية. تبعه بفيلم « هم هم الكلاب » (C’est eux les chiens…) في عام 2013، الذي تم اختياره في قسم ACID بمهرجان كان السينمائي.
أخرج هشام العسري أيضًا فيلم « البحر وراءك » (The Sea is Behind) في عام 2014، وفيلم « نجومك » (Starve Your Dog) في عام 2015، الذي تم عرضه في مهرجان تورونتو السينمائي الدولي ومهرجان برلين السينمائي.
بالإضافة إلى عمله في السينما، كتب هشام العسري العديد من الروايات والقصص المصورة، مثل « سانت ريتا » (Sainte Rita)، « فوضى » (Fawda)، و »أثر لوسيفر » (L’effet Lucifer).

Hicham Lasri est un réalisateur, scénariste, romancier, dessinateur de bandes dessinées et artiste marocain. Né le 13 avril 1977 à Casablanca, il a d’abord étudié le droit avant de se réorienter vers l’écriture et la mise en scène. En 2002, il remporte le prix Mohammed Rjeb pour son scénario et réalise son premier court-métrage, Géométrie des remords, produit par Nabil Ayouch.
Son premier long-métrage, The End, sort en 2011 et reçoit un accueil critique favorable. Il enchaîne avec C’est eux les chiens… en 2013, sélectionné à l’ACID du Festival de Cannes.
Parmi ses autres films notables, on trouve The Sea is Behind (2014) et Starve Your Dog (2015), ce dernier ayant été présenté au Festival international du film de Toronto et à la Berlinale.
En plus de sa carrière cinématographique, Hicham Lasri est l’auteur de plusieurs romans et bandes dessinées, dont Sainte Rita, Fawda et L’effet Lucifer.

Hicham Lasri is a Moroccan filmmaker, screenwriter, novelist, comic book artist, and producer. Born on April 13, 1977, in Casablanca, he initially studied law before shifting his focus to writing and directing. In 2002, he won the Mohammed Rjeb Prize for screenwriting and directed his first short film, Géométrie des remords, produced by Nabil Ayouch.
His debut feature film, The End, was released in 2011 and received critical acclaim. He followed this with C’est eux les chiens… in 2013, which was selected for the ACID program at the Cannes Film Festival.
Other notable films by Lasri include The Sea is Behind (2014) and Starve Your Dog (2015), the latter of which was showcased at the Toronto International Film Festival and the Berlinale.
