SYNOPSIS :
In Boujdour, a small city in southern Morocco, a 90-year-old man who’s the last heir to a lineage of traditional fishermen shares the secrets of the sea and net fishing. His wisdom, forged through decades of battling the waves, converges with that of a young man compelled to flee drought and poverty in search of sustenance.
Through their days at sea and twilight conversations, the documentary captures a singular passing of the torch: the transmission of ancestral knowledge on the brink of extinction, as well as a life philosophy in which patience, humility, and reverence for nature govern every action.
Between the tumult of the waves and the stillness of suspended moments, AMARZ is an ode to heritage and human resilience, a journey of rites of passage where the sea becomes the stage for an unforgettable encounter.
Director Biography – Hicham Ibrahimi Ibrahimi
Réalisateur marocain, acteur polyvalent sur scène, à la télévision et au cinéma et enseignant chevronné en art dramatique et en improvisation, notamment à l’Institut de formation théâtrale du ministère de la culture direction régionale de Rabat.
Titulaire d’un diplôme de l’Institut Supérieur d’Art Dramatique et d’Animation Culturelle, il a contribué à un éventail impressionnant d’œuvres marocaines et internationales, totalisant pas moins de 60 productions à son actif dans les domaines de la télévision, du cinéma et du théâtre. Il est unanimement reconnu comme l’un des pionniers de la Ligue marocaine d’improvisation, qui est la première de son genre au Maroc. Son parcours artistique l’a également conduit à collaborer avec des icônes du cinéma telles que Tomy Lee Johns, Catherine Deneuve, Jamel Debbouze, Monica Bellucci, ainsi qu’à participer à des projets distingués tels que « Les Chevaux de Fortune » et « Tresses » de Jilali Farahati, ainsi que « Un simple fait divers » de Hakim Nouri et « Ali Zaoua » de Nabil Ayouch. »

Director Biography – Hicham Ibrahimi Ibrahimi
Hicham Ibrahimi is a Moroccan director, versatile actor for stage, television, and cinema, and an experienced teacher of dramatic arts and improvisation, notably at the Theater Training Institute of the Ministry of Culture, Rabat Regional Directorate. Holding a degree from the Higher Institute of Dramatic Arts and Cultural Animation (ISADAC), he has contributed to an impressive array of Moroccan and international works, totaling over 60 productions in television, cinema, and theater.
He is widely recognized as one of the pioneers of the Moroccan Improvisation League, the first of its kind in Morocco. His artistic journey has also led him to collaborate with cinema icons such as Tomy Lee Johns, Catherine Deneuve, Jamel Debbouze, Monica Bellucci, and participate in distinguished projects such as Les Chevaux de Fortune and Tresses by Jilali Farahati, as well as Un simple fait divers by Hakim Nouri and Ali Zaoua by Nabil Ayouch.

الملخص:
في بوجدور، مدينة صغيرة جنوب المغرب، يشارك رجل يبلغ من العمر 90 عامًا، وهو آخر وريث لسلالة من الصيادين التقليديين، أسرار البحر وصيد الشبك. تتقاطع حكمته، التي صقلها عقود من مواجهة الأمواج، مع حكمة شاب مضطر للهروب من الجفاف والفقر بحثًا عن رزقه.
من خلال أيامهم في البحر وحديثهم عند الغروب، يلتقط الفيلم الوثائقي لحظة انتقال المعرفة العائلية الفريدة على وشك الانقراض، إلى جانب فلسفة حياة حيث الصبر والتواضع واحترام الطبيعة تحكم كل تصرف. بين اضطراب الأمواج وسكون اللحظات المعلقة، أمارز هو ode للتراث والقدرة البشرية على الصمود، ورحلة شعائر انتقالية حيث يتحول البحر إلى مسرح لمواجهة لا تُنسى.

هشام الإبراهيمي مخرج مغربي، وممثل متعدد المواهب على المسرح والتلفزيون والسينما، ومدرس متمرس في فنون الدراما والارتجال، خاصة في معهد التدريب المسرحي التابع لوزارة الثقافة – المديرية الإقليمية بالرباط. حاصل على دبلوم من المعهد العالي للفن المسرحي والتنشيط الثقافي (ISADAC)، وساهم في مجموعة متميزة من الأعمال المغربية والدولية، بما مجموعه أكثر من 60 إنتاجًا في مجالات التلفزيون والسينما والمسرح.
يُعرف على نطاق واسع كأحد رواد رابطة الارتجال المغربية، وهي الأولى من نوعها في المغرب. وقد قاد مساره الفني أيضًا للتعاون مع أيقونات السينما مثل تومي لي جونز، كاثرين دينوف، جمال دبوز، مونيكا بيلوتشي، والمشاركة في مشاريع بارزة مثل Les Chevaux de Fortune وTresses لجلالي فرحاتي، وكذلك Un simple fait divers لحكيم نوري وعلي زاوا لنبيل أيوش.
