Biographie :
Karim Debbagh est né à Tanger, au Maroc, en 1972. Il découvre l’univers du cinéma aux côtés de son ami et mentor, l’écrivain et compositeur américain Paul Bowles. Après des études de littérature anglaise à Tétouan, il poursuit sa formation à la Filmakademie Baden-Württemberg de Ludwigsburg, en Allemagne, où il obtient son diplôme de producteur. En 2005, il fonde Kasbah Films, devenue depuis l’une des sociétés de production les plus reconnues au Maroc.
À la fois producteur et line producer, Karim Debbagh s’implique activement dans le développement et l’essor de l’industrie cinématographique marocaine. Comme line producer, il a collaboré sur de grandes productions internationales tournées au Maroc, parmi lesquelles The Wheel of Time, Men in Black: International et A Hologram for the King.
En tant que producteur, il a accompagné des films marquants du cinéma marocain tels que Les Damnés ne pleurent pas de Fyzal Boulifa (Venise 2022), La Vie me va bien d’Al Hadi Ulad Mohand (Rotterdam 2021) ou encore Traitors de Sean Gullette (Marrakech, Tribeca 2013).

Karim Debbagh was born in Tangier, Morocco, in 1972. He discovered the world of cinema alongside his friend and mentor, the American writer and composer Paul Bowles. After studying English literature in Tetouan, he continued his training at the Filmakademie Baden-Württemberg in Ludwigsburg, Germany, where he graduated as a producer. In 2005, he founded Kasbah Films, now one of the most recognized production companies in Morocco.
As both a producer and line producer, Karim Debbagh has been actively involved in the development and growth of the Moroccan film industry. As a line producer, he has worked on major international productions shot in Morocco, including The Wheel of Time, Men in Black: International, and A Hologram for the King.
As a producer, he has supported significant Moroccan films such as Les Damnés ne pleurent pas by Fyzal Boulifa (Venice 2022), La Vie me va bien by Al Hadi Ulad Mohand (Rotterdam 2021), and Traitors by Sean Gullette (Marrakech, Tribeca 2013).

كريم الدباغ وُلِد في طنجة، المغرب، عام 1972. اكتشف عالم السينما بجانب صديقه ومرشده، الكاتب والملحن الأمريكي بول بولز. بعد دراسة الأدب الإنجليزي في تطوان، تابع تدريبه في أكاديمية الفيلم في بادن-فورتمبيرغ في لودفيغسبورغ بألمانيا، حيث تخرج كمنتج سينمائي. في عام 2005، أسس شركة كازبا فيلمز، والتي أصبحت واحدة من أبرز شركات الإنتاج في المغرب.
كمنتج ومنتج خط الإنتاج، يشارك كريم دباغ بنشاط في تطوير صناعة السينما المغربية. كمنتج خط الإنتاج، عمل على العديد من الإنتاجات الدولية الكبرى المصوّرة في المغرب، منها The Wheel of Time، Men in Black: International، و A Hologram for the King.
