SYNOPSIS :
In this animated miniature a drawing gradually comes to life before our eyes, telling a story not only of a wild boar on the run, but also of the ways in which people occupy the places that used to belong to nature.
Based on memories of a walk in the Belgian Ardennes. This film was drawn and animated alone on a single sheet of paper as a performance.
Director Biography – Nicolas Piret
Nicolas Piret is a Belgian artist and director who graduated from the Royal Academy of Fine Arts and ENSAV La Cambre. His various backgrounds in contemporary drawing, comics and animation led to his graduation film La bride – The dog’s leash (2022), selected at the Student Academy Awards®.
In 2024, he directed Silent Panorama, which had its world premiere at the IFFR in Rotterdam, followed by Karlovy Vary, Annecy and Toronto (TIFF).
His films, animated alone and entirely by hand with meticulous attention to detail, have been recognized for their craft by the American Film Institute.

Synopsis :
Dans ce court métrage animé miniature, un dessin prend progressivement vie sous nos yeux, racontant l’histoire non seulement d’un sanglier en fuite, mais aussi des façons dont les humains occupent des lieux qui appartenaient autrefois à la nature.
Basé sur les souvenirs d’une promenade dans les Ardennes belges, ce film a été dessiné et animé seul sur une seule feuille de papier, comme une performance artistique.
Biographie du réalisateur – Nicolas Piret
Nicolas Piret est un artiste et réalisateur belge, diplômé de la Royal Academy of Fine Arts et de l’ENSAV La Cambre. Ses diverses expériences en dessin contemporain, bande dessinée et animation ont conduit à son film de fin d’études La bride – The Dog’s Leash (2022), sélectionné aux Student Academy Awards®.
En 2024, il a réalisé Silent Panorama, présenté en première mondiale au IFFR de Rotterdam, suivi par Karlovy Vary, Annecy et Toronto (TIFF).
Ses films, animés seul et entièrement à la main avec un souci méticuleux du détail, ont été reconnus pour leur excellence par l’American Film Institute.
