Synopsis
The fears of five stoic young siblings abandoned by their parents mix with those of their schizophrenic grandmother who now looks after them, blurring and gradually dissolving the boundary between reality and imagination.
Director Biography – Ernesto Martínez Bucio
His mother says the doctors had to use forceps when he was born back in 1983 in Uruapan, Mexico. He is a film director, screenwriter, and editor who holds a BA in Communication Sciences from ITESO, a BA in Filmmaking from CCC, and an MA in Filmmaking from EQZE/UPV. After spending so much time studying filmmaking, one might think he learns slowly—or perhaps he just enjoys being in school. His short films have premiered at prestigious festivals, including Cannes’ Cinéfondation, Cairo, San Sebastián, and Rotterdam. He has received two grants from the National Fund for Culture and the Arts and is an alumnus of Berlinale Talents. He loves road cycling and hamburgers.

Sa mère raconte que les médecins ont dû utiliser des forceps lorsqu’il est né en 1983 à Uruapan, au Mexique. Ernesto Martínez Bucio est réalisateur, scénariste et monteur. Il est titulaire d’une licence en sciences de la communication de l’ITESO, d’une licence en réalisation cinématographique du CCC, et d’un master en réalisation cinématographique de l’EQZE/UPV. Après tant d’années passées à étudier le cinéma, on pourrait croire qu’il apprend lentement — ou peut-être aime-t-il simplement rester à l’école.
Ses courts-métrages ont été présentés dans des festivals prestigieux, notamment la Cinéfondation de Cannes, Le Caire, Saint-Sébastien et Rotterdam.
