Synopsis :
Dans la chambre 666 de l’hôtel Martinez, sur la Croisette à Cannes, Wim Wenders installe une caméra et un magnétophone. Face à une télévision diffusant Roland-Garros, il pose à plusieurs cinéastes une question essentielle :
« Quel est l’avenir du cinéma ? »
Seuls dans la pièce, les réalisateurs — dont Godard, Herzog, Spielberg ou Fassbinder — s’adressent directement à la caméra, livrant une réflexion intime et prophétique sur le destin du septième art à l’aube de l’ère numérique.
Biographie du réalisateur :
Wim Wenders est né à Düsseldorf en 1945. Après avoir étudié la médecine et la philosophie pendant deux ans et passé un an à Paris comme peintre, il intègre l’Université du cinéma et de la télévision de Munich (HFF) de 1967 à 1970.
Figure centrale du Nouveau Cinéma Allemand, il fonde la société Filmverlag der Autoren (1971) et sa propre maison de production Road Movies (1975).
Son œuvre, marquée par la quête d’identité, le voyage et la mémoire, comprend des classiques tels que Paris, Texas, Les Ailes du Désir et Buena Vista Social Club.
Photographe reconnu, essayiste, et président fondateur de l’European Film Academy, Wenders enseigne aujourd’hui à l’Université des Beaux-Arts de Hambourg et vit à Berlin avec son épouse, la photographe Donata Wenders.

Synopsis :
Inside room 666 at the Hôtel Martinez in Cannes, Wim Wenders places a static camera and tape recorder before a television broadcasting Roland-Garros. He asks a series of renowned filmmakers — among them Jean-Luc Godard, Steven Spielberg, Rainer Werner Fassbinder, and Werner Herzog — one single question:
“What is the future of cinema?”
Each filmmaker, alone in the room, records their response. The result is a haunting meditation on the evolution and fate of film as an art form in a rapidly changing world.
Director Biography :
Wim Wenders was born in Düsseldorf in 1945. After studying medicine and philosophy and spending a year in Paris as a painter, he entered the University of Television and Film Munich (HFF) in 1967.
A leading figure of the New German Cinema, he founded Filmverlag der Autoren in 1971 and Road Movies in 1975. His films — including Paris, Texas, Wings of Desire, and Buena Vista Social Club — explore identity, time, and the journey of the human soul.
He is also an acclaimed photographer and writer, co-founder and president of the European Film Academy, and currently teaches at the University of Fine Arts of Hamburg.

سيرة المخرج :
وُلد فيم فيندرز عام 1945 في دوسلدورف. بعد دراسته الطب والفلسفة، قضى عاماً في باريس كرسام قبل أن ينضم إلى جامعة السينما والتلفزيون في ميونيخ (1967-1970).
يُعد من أبرز رموز « السينما الألمانية الجديدة »، وقد أسس شركتي Filmverlag der Autoren وRoad Movies.
من أشهر أفلامه باريس، تكساس وأجنحة الرغبة ونادي بوينا فيستا الاجتماعي.
هو أيضًا مصور عالمي ورئيس الأكاديمية الأوروبية للسينما، ويُدرّس حالياً في جامعة الفنون الجميلة في هامبورغ. يعيش في برلين مع زوجته المصورة دوناتا فيندرز.
