SYNOPSIS :
A 17-year-old girl struggles with an emotionally distant mother as her life takes a tragic turn. The mother joins a mystic ceremony to face her grief and the lost bond with her daughter.
Director Biography – Sanaa El Alaoui
Moroccan director and screenwriter Sanaa El Alaoui is a graduate of Eötvös Loránd University in Budapest, where her research on the art of the long take in filmic language earned her the Best Thesis of the Year award, and the University of Oxford, where she explored Moroccan cinema’s evolution from the colonial past to the post-colonial present. El Alaoui made her directorial debut with Icarus, a Hungarian short documentary. The film received the Bronze Award for Best Short Documentary at the 4th Quarter of the Queen Palm International Film Festival in California, Best Short Documentary at the International Film Festival of Oued Noun, the Grand Prize for Best Short Film at the National Film Festival of Cinema of the Margin in Guercif, and the Jury Award for Best Short Film at the International Film Festival of Casablanca.

Synopsis :
À 17 ans, Aïcha tente de composer avec une mère émotionnellement distante, alors que sa vie prend un tournant tragique. Face à la perte et au chagrin, la mère rejoint une cérémonie mystique pour affronter son deuil et renouer avec le lien brisé avec sa fille disparue.
Biographie de la réalisatrice – Sanaa El Alaoui :
Sanaa El Alaoui est une réalisatrice et scénariste marocaine diplômée de l’Université Eötvös Loránd de Budapest, où ses recherches sur l’art du plan-séquence dans le langage cinématographique lui ont valu le prix de la Meilleure Thèse de l’Année, ainsi que de l’Université d’Oxford, où elle a exploré l’évolution du cinéma marocain du passé colonial au présent postcolonial.
Elle a fait ses débuts en réalisation avec Icarus, un court métrage documentaire hongrois, qui a remporté plusieurs distinctions, dont :
- Prix Bronze du Meilleur Court Documentaire au Queen Palm International Film Festival (Californie),
- Prix du Meilleur Court Documentaire au Festival International du Film d’Oued Noun,
- Grand Prix du Meilleur Court Métrage au Festival National du Cinéma de la Marge à Guercif,
- et Prix du Jury du Meilleur Court Métrage au Festival International du Film de Casablanca.

الملخص
تحاول عائشة، فتاة تبلغ من العمر 17 عامًا، التعامل مع أمّ باردة عاطفيًا، بينما تأخذ حياتها منعطفًا مأساويًا. بعد الفاجعة، تنضم الأم إلى طقوس صوفية لمواجهة حزنها ومحاولة استعادة الرابط المفقود مع ابنتها الراحلة

سناء العلوي مخرجة وكاتبة سيناريو مغربية، تخرّجت من جامعة إيوتفوش لوراند (Eötvös Loránd) في بودابست، حيث نالت جائزة أفضل أطروحة للسنة عن بحثها حول فن اللقطة الطويلة في اللغة السينمائية. كما تابعت دراستها في جامعة أكسفورد، حيث تناولت في أبحاثها تطور السينما المغربية من الحقبة الاستعمارية إلى ما بعد الاستعمار
بدأت مسيرتها الإخراجية بفيلمها الوثائقي القصير إيكاروس (Icarus)، وهو إنتاج مجري، حصل على عدة جوائز، منها
- الجائزة البرونزية لأفضل فيلم وثائقي قصير في مهرجان كوين بالم الدولي للأفلام (كاليفورنيا)
- جائزة أفضل فيلم وثائقي قصير في المهرجان الدولي لفيلم واد نون
- الجائزة الكبرى لأفضل فيلم قصير في المهرجان الوطني لسينما الهامش بجرسيف
- وجائزة لجنة التحكيم لأفضل فيلم قصير في المهرجان الدولي للفيلم بالدار البيضاء
