Synopsis:
In a world where women were rarely granted access to higher education—or to any education at all—only nine remarkable female writers received the Nobel Prize in Literature during the twentieth century. Among them was Sardinian author Grazia Deledda, who remains to this day the only Italian woman ever to receive the honor.
This film traces three defining moments in her life, unveiling the deep political resonance of her personal journey. It offers a thoughtful reflection on the relationship between women and literature, while echoing the ongoing struggle for female expression and recognition.
Biography:
Peter Marcias is an Italian director and screenwriter (born in Sardinia in 1977). He has lived and worked in Rome for twenty-five years. He has directed numerous short films, documentaries, and features, which have been screened at the most prestigious international festivals (Venice, Taipei, Giffoni, Istanbul and São Paulo, Rome, Turin, and Moscow). His work demonstrates a strong interest in cinema that addresses artistic, social, and political issues.

Peter Marcias est un réalisateur et scénariste italien (Sardegna, 1977). Il vive et travaille à Rome depuis vingt-cinq ans.
